Xavier Academy Clarifies About Today Morning Road Incident
Xavier Academy has expressed deep sadness over the unfortunate incident in which two students were struck by a microvan bearing the institution’s sticker.
The Academy became aware of the matter after concerned well-wishers notified the administration that the college’s name was being unnecessarily associated with the accident in media coverage.
Xavier Academy clarifies that the vehicle in question was not operated by the college. The microvan had been a rented vehicle previously used by its associate institution, Xavier Academy Best Elementary School. However, the school returned the vehicle more than a month ago, and since then, it has remained under the custody of its owner.
We strongly condemn the reckless driving of the driver responsible and will fully cooperate with police authorities to help identify the true perpetrator. The college also denounces the continued use of its name sticker on the vehicle after it had been returned, calling it misleading and unacceptable.
Xavier Academy extends its concern for those affected in the incident and reiterates its commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in the matter.
